Announcements It's In the MailParents and guardians:
Report cards for fall semester are being mailed home this week. These report cards include the final grade for any block (semester-long) class your child may have had. A passing grade indicates the student has earned the credit for that class. Report cards also are a "progress report" for any year-long class the student is in. Because this class does not end until May, the grade reflected on the report card is not the final grade; it is merely a snapshot of where your child stands academically in that class. Please be on the lookout for your student report cards. If you do not receive one, please contact your child's small learning community via phone or e-mail. Guidance counselors and teachers can assist you in getting a report card. The NestAt the end of each grading period your student will receive a progress report. If that progress report had an "F" in any core subject, your student will be palced in "The Nest" for the next three weeks. The Nest is a place for your student to catch up on any missing assignments and fill in gaps in learning from the first three weeks.
The Nest will take place during the normal school day from 11:45 - 12:45. Therefore, no special transportation needs to be arranged. This is a great opportunity for your student to get the extra help that is needed. If you have any questions about the Nest or its purpose, please contact any one of the staff members for the Peregrine Wing. We will be happy to address your concerns.
